Airfield is set on 38 acres of land and encompasses the original house and farm owned by the Overend Family since 1974. It is a charitable organisation established for educational and recreational purposes It has recently undergone a huge refurbishment and now includes a farm, cafe, and heritage experience.
Enjoy seasonal walking trails taking in the native woodland and bounty of wildlife on the estate.
Take in the beautiful gardens, designed by Head Gardener Colm O’Driscoll and internationally renowned guest gardeners – with century-old redwoods and fruit trees. With 5 gardens to visit including the walled garden, organic food garden, greenhouse garden, bee garden and sunken garden, you will get to enjoy the beautiful colour and life that lives in these gardens.
Visit the working farm and meet the animals which include; Jersey cows, Jacob sheep, Oxford sandy black pigs and donkey to name just a few, Feeds take place twice a day and you can also collect eggs and milk cows!
Explore the Overend family home and vintage car garage to learn more about the Estate’s historic importance and original artefacts. Tours take place Wednesday - Sunday and the cost is included in the general admission ticket.

The journey to Airfield Estate is just a 5-minute drive via car or taxi, 25-minute walk, 15-minute journey by Luas, and just over 10 minutes by bus.
