Airfield is set on 38 acres of land and encompasses the original house and farm owned by the Overend Family since 1974. It is a charitable organisation established for educational and recreational purposes It has recently undergone a huge refurbishment and now includes a beautiful farm, cafe, and heritage experience. Tours of the original house run daily. Alternatively, you can simply stop by for a coffee and take in the beautiful setting of Airfield.
Between August and November, you can also indulge in Afternoon tea at Airfield Estate. Bring your friends and loved ones to enjoy a delicious tea with little desserts and sandwiches while overlooking the beautiful gardens of the estate.
There are specialised garden tours for groups of 10 or more guided by an Airfield Horticulturist. You can also book a heritage tour for groups of 10 or more to learn more about the House and its heritage. After 12.30pm, you can learn all about the history of how Airfield began and what the Overend family built the trust upon. If you wish to take a guided tour, you must book one ahead of time. If you would prefer to do a self-guided tour, there is a discount available for groups of at least 10.
House tours run 7 days a week throughout July & August. These tours do not operate in December.

You can purchase tickets upon arrival at the ticket desk, there is no need to pre-book daily admission tickets.
The journey to Airfield Estate is just a 5-minute drive via car or taxi, 25-minute walk, 15-minute journey by Luas, and just over 10 minutes by bus. The Beacon will serve as the perfect base for you during your visit to Ireland, allowing you to easily explore the beautiful attractions both outside and within the city centre. Some of the most beautiful gardens, incredible houses and mansions, and quaint seaside towns are not far away from The Beacon. With our secure underground car-parking facilities, travelling to and from the city centre couldn't be more convenient.
