Summer is the time for BBQ’s, sunshine, family, friends and fun! If you are coming to stay with us this summer, it’s great to know where to go and what to do in order to create the best memories. Whether you’re a fan of music, film, food or festivals- there is something here from everyone. Here is a list of just a few highlight activities you could get up to this summer.
Bloom | Thursday 30th May – Monday 3rd June
If you’re interested in garden plants, garden design, construction, horticulture and gardening as a hobby then be sure to visit what has Ireland's largest garden, food and family festival, attracting over 100,000 visitors. Bord Bia presents the annual Bloom Festival which takes place for five days over the June bank holiday weekend, in the Phoenix Park.
Dublin Pride Parade | Sunday 29th June 2019
The annual Dublin LGBTQ+ Pride Parade first took place in 1983 and is all about celebrating and fighting for LGBTQIA+ social and self-acceptance, achievements, legal rights. The parade will assemble on O'Connell Street and Parnell Square from 1pm where you can expect floats, marching bands, colourful costumes and plenty of music.
Bulmers Live at Leopardstown | Thursday 6th June – Thursday 15th August 2019
With over a month of activities The Bulmers Live Festival is a great time for all the family featuring a fantastic line-up of live gigs, great food and exciting horse racing from the Leopardstown Racecourse. With acts from Hamsandwich, Coolio, All Saints, The Blizzards and more making for a great night out, with a difference. Tickets start from only €17 with free entry for children under 18 if accompanied by an adult!
Longitude 2019 | Friday 5th – Sunday 7th July 2019
If you are a fan of hip-hop, R&B and dance or just any festival vibes then you should definitely be counting down for this one! The line-up for the sold-out weekend features some of the best international and homegrown talent. The line-up includes Chance the Rapper, Cardi B, Anne-Marie, Dave, Wild Youth, Versatile and many more.
The Beatyard | Saturday 3rd – Sunday 4th August 2019
Beatyard is an annual family-friendly favourite, taking place on the bank holiday weekend in this Dún Laoghaire, Co Dublin. Whether spending a day or 2 explore the different spots that Beatyard has to offer from Studioyard (art, design and tech), Eatyard (over 50 food and beverage vendors, including bars) and Gamesyard (sports and games for all ages) - not to mention a great variety of live music.
Dublin Horse Show | Wednesday 7th – Monday 11th
