The seaside town of Bray offers a lot to see and do. Known as the "Brighton of Ireland", the town of Bray is a destination for both tourists and day-trippers from the city. Spend a lovely day at the beach exploring Bray's many cafes and restaurants and exciting nightlife before coming back to the chic comforts of your room at The Beacon.
The history of the town is intertwined with the history of the Brabazon Family of Killruddery, though the development of the town is largely attributed to William Dargan a railway entrepreneur in the 19th Century. The town is situated on the East Coast, with Dublin city to the north and County Wicklow to the south. Bray is a busy urban centre that retains some of the reminders of the distant medieval past. Much of its out-standing Georgian and Victorian architecture remains.
Things to see and do:

Various forms of sea life can be seen during this walk, including grey and common seals as well as the occasional school of dolphins or porpoises.
